Records & Incident Reports

Reports can be picked up in person at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office located at:

400 First Street
Hillsboro, MO 63050

You will need a valid Photo ID. There is a minimum fee of $5.00 for each copy of a report you request. That fee must be paid in exact change or by check. Credit cards are accepted at the JCSO main Headquarters ONLY. 

Reports can take between 10-14 BUSINESS days before they are approved and can be released.

For questions about a report or to check the status of a report, please call (636) 797-5018.

If you are listed as a suspect in the report, the report cannot be released to you. The report will have to be obtained by an attorney through a subpoena.

If the report involves a Juvenile suspect, the report cannot be released. You will have to contact the Jefferson County Juvenile Office at (636) 797-5350 about obtaining a copy of the report.

How do I request a copy of an incident report?

  1. Download and Print out the Incident Request Form
  2. Bring it into the Sheriff's Office with your payment.
  3. The Sheriff's Office may take 10 - 14 business days to process your request.
  4. Once your report is processed, you will be notified to come in to pick up the report.
