All applicants must submit the application paperwork and a driver’s license in person at our headquarters location at 400 1st Street in Hillsboro.
You are required to attend firearms safety training that meets the standards of applicant firearms safety training in subsection 1 or 2 section 571.111, RSMo
The fee for a new application is $100.00, payable at the time of application with exact change, by credit/debit card, or by check payable to "County Sheriff's Revolving Fund." The fee is non-refundable by law. Fingerprinting will take place at the time of application.
The new application process may take up to 45 days to complete in accordance with statute. The Sheriff will issue permits upon full completion of the statutory requirements for fingerprinting and background checks.
The renewal fee is $50, payable at the time of application. Fingerprinting is not required for renewals.
A person who has been issued a concealed carry permit but fails to file a renewal application on or before its expiration date must pay a late fee of $10 per month for each month it is expired for up to six months.
Any person who has been issued a concealed carry permit but fails to renew within the six months after expiration must reapply for a new concealed carry permit and pay the fee for a new application.
