Background Checks completed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will only report arrests by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.  You will need a valid Driver’s License. There is a $5.00 fee for each Background Check performed.  That $5.00 must be paid in exact change or by check.  We do not accept debit/credit cards and we cannot make change at the front window.

Please call the North Zone or East Zone prior to your visit to make sure someone is available to complete the Background Check.

Any Background Check requiring a Statewide check will need to be done through the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
